Florida condo owners fight fire in Lake Worth

A condo fire in the Port of Florida has forced the evacuation of many residents, forcing residents of some of the most expensive properties in the state to stay in their homes.

The fire began at the Lakeside condominium complex in Lake William on Saturday morning and has since engulfed more than 100,000 square feet of homes and apartment units in Port of Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

It’s the latest in a series of fires across the state that have led to a major property loss since the first was reported in August, and the fires have sparked a massive rescue effort in the past week, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
